Wyke Green Lodge History

Wyke Green Lodge History

Wyke Green Lodge was sponsored by Ashford Manor Lodge No 5045 for the members of Wyke Green Golf Club and others interested in golf. The Founders were all members of either Wyke Green or Ashford Golf Club.

The Taylors ritual was adopted. The crest of the Lodge shows the spire of St Mary’s Church, Osterley, as seen from the fourth green of the golf course. It was designed by the late W.Bro. J. O’Hara.

The connection with Wyke Green Golf Club has sadly faded. We only know of one member who plays golf now! However, the golfing connection lives on at our festive board, where the Master and Wardens use a Golf Clubs for Gavels!
